The cause isn't known and no size estimate is available. Authorities say they don't know how many and what type of structures were destroyed. The number of homes in the evacuation area wasn't immediately available. NYT: Soros to donate $100 million to Human Rights Watch

The $100 million will be the largest gift George Soros has made, the largest gift by far that Human Rights Watch has ever received, and only the second gift of $100 million or more made by an individual this year, according to the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.Billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros will help an advocacy group that investigates human rights abuses around the world.
